Alexandra D. Crosswell, PhD is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Center for Health and Community within the Department of Psychiatry at UCSF. Dr. Crosswell studies the influence of chronic stress across the lifespan on physical health in adulthood, with a particular focus on uncovering mechanistic pathways. She is also the Executive Director of the NIA funded Stress Measurement Network, an international group of scientists working to improve stress measurement in epidemiological studies. She received her BA from Duke University in 2007 and her PhD in Health Psychology from UCLA in 2014.
