Ashley Mason, PhD


Dr. Ashley Mason is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine and the UCSF Center for Health and Community. Her research focuses on understanding the intersection of the opioid system and compulsive overeating. She received a K23 Award from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) to investigate both the assessment and treatment of compulsive overeating in obesity. She completed a PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Arizona after completing a Pre-doctoral Internship in Behavioral Medicine at the VA Palo Alto HealthCare System. She earned BAs in psychology and sociology from Northwestern University.
